Share your library's successful strategies for promoting community and belonging here: Building Belonging: Fostering Community and Fairness in Action. Your submission will be shared via the MLGSCA Blog.

Initial Charge (for FY 2023-2024): The Community & Belonging Task Force fosters diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the activities and membership of MLGSCA.

  1. Investigate whether a standing committee on diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (DEIA) issues should be formed and makes recommendations to the Advisory Council.
  2. Establish the task-force's official statement. 
  3. Gather feedback from and relay information to membership on how the Task Force can support members in their professional work. 
  4. Investigate the possibility of partnerships with other committees within the local chapter.
